Beautiful location our caravan was stunning. The beach perfect, arcade and indoor pool for the kids, cafe and a bar (passes needed)
The only downside if you want something other than fish and chips or fast food you have to travel off the site this is can be a distance and the fact you have to buy passes to buy a drink from the bar is a shame.
Me and my family went to the caravan park as we have for many years. I was appalled by the attitude of the staff in the shop. It costs way too much for the wristbands to basically be able to use the swimming pool and the on site chippy was disgusting both in food and price. The only redeeming factor was the caravan was nice and the beach was beautiful. Way over priced for what they offer.
Lovely view of the mountains, fields and the sea .The rooms are comfortable and the living rooms are nice and comfy.
Bormouth is a lovely place and I recommend this as your next holiday.
We were really apprehensive after reading all the bad reviews but we had a great 4 night stay here. The seaview gold caravan was the best view and the caravan was clean and just what we expected. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, we enjoyed the swimming, the on site shop has most things you could need and isn't over priced. We happened to be here during storm Agnus and our 5 year old absolutely loved watching the waves from the Caravan. We will definitely be back.
Loved it from the minute we got there till the minute we left. Very close to Barmouth, you can drive, but believe there is a shuttle bus. Having 3 children with us of different ages didn't make it too difficult, the teenagers played in the arcade while the smaller child was kept entertained in the club room where there were activities like bingo and dancing for a few hours each evening.
We went swimming and also spent time on the beach even though it was a bit wet, it was still really nice.
Stayed here in June upgraded for a sea view caravan but it was old and grubby the gas was on it's way out so smelt of baby sick, went to reception next day but door was locked. The cooker didn't work and you had to open the microwave with a knife. Came back from day out on Thursday to find gas had run out so left in the evening and came home we'd had enough!!! For the entertainment it was the same young lady singing the same songs every night we went on a Mon- Fri but over the weekend they had live entertainment Fri & Sat!! You have to be out by 10am on Fri so can't stay for the evening entertainment.
I left a set of clothes in the drawer for Fri morning but as we left Thursday night cause we'd had enough of our caravan I forgot to get them out in our rush & the room was so smelly it was aggravating my asthma so couldn't go in there but when I phoned up the next day they said there were no clothes found! So what happened to my clothes I'm annoyed as the tee shirt was new I emailed head office and haven't had a reply.
The only thing good about this site is the beach.
On the sister site up the road is a very good reasonable priced restaurant. We won't be returning to a Lyons holiday park I'm afraid.
Caravan was very nice. Extra worktop in kitchen part, which is always a bonus lol perfect view out of the lounge area, of the hills/mountains..much rather look at them than the sea.. the site was very clean and tidy, and well planted aswel. The way in and out was cool. A bridge over railway lines.. felt a bit like a roller coaster..without the speed haha. Yes, we were nearest to the railway lines, but in the whole time we were there, we never saw one train.. anywhere!
Can't comment on cafe or pub/entertainment as we didn't use them..
WiFi was not free. But we had good signals with our data.
We will return though
Nice place to stay but too many dogs and only one swimming pool with 45 minutes swimming duration, beach is very close, the chip shop is not halal, and oil used for chips is also used for meat.
